A Pizza Diary

A damn fine pizza

Growing up, we had a VHS of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and I watched and rewatched it many times. The idea of the grail diary really stuck with me. A small notebook, written over a lifetime of academic obsession, that leads the way through a holy and historical adventure…how cool is that?

I always wanted my own version of a grail diary, but could never focus on anything enough to really call it an obsession. That has changed now, I am officially obsessed with pizza.

My love of pizza is not new, but I have probably made more pizza in the last four months than I’ve made ever. It’s not just making pizza, I read about, I think about it, I follow pizza makers on instagram…when I was bored, I just typed “pizza” into the Netflix search just to see if I could find anything good (I did).

Now I have the obsession, I just need the diary. Having a blog is not the same as the physical journal like in the movie, but for me, it’s part of it. If I figure out the physical journal/notebook/diary, I will be sure to share, but in the mean time, here are the pizza pics I know you want.

A damn fine pizza
A damn fine margherita pie
Sicilian style or grandma pie with sausage and peppers.
Chicago style cooked in a cast iron skillet
Jalepeno and honey garlic topped pizza that was only ok when fresh, but great for breakfast.
